Webnairs: MyMinnesotaWoods – Oct. 20th and 28th

Upcoming webinar on Indigenous models of sustainability

Join us for a webinar on Oct 20 to learn about Indigenous models of sustainability. This webinar will discuss the Menominee Tribe’s experiences managing the oldest sustainable forest in the United States. The presentation will provide a detailed description of their sustainability model, give examples of how it can be used in a forestry context, and provide participants the opportunity to apply it to their own situations.

Upcoming course: tree and plant identification for mesic hardwoods

One of Minnesota’s most common plant communities is the mesic hardwood system. Learn how to identify common trees and plants in this community by attending our newest tree and plant identification course. An online course opens later this week and a Zoom session is scheduled with instructors and other class participants on Oct. 28.
