Become a Minnesota Master Gardner

Now through Oct. 1, the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Program is looking for volunteers who are interested in learning best-practices for gardening and sharing that knowledge in their communities.

Volunteers complete an online horticulture training course where they learn the best research-based practices for growing plants, diagnosing plant diseases, and managing pests. They share their learning with neighbors and community residents. Learn more about the program here.

Help us spread the word. Encourage your community partners, collaborators, and program participants to apply! Applications are posted online at and are open through Oct. 1.
