Embrace winter in 2020
If you haven’t already, make this the decade you embrace winter and discover the beauty, tranquility, and adventure this season has to offer.
Winter Trails Day
is a free annual winter festival at Fort Snelling State Park where people of all ages can discover an activity that transforms their winter in to a season of joy.
All equipment will be provided, with outdoor enthusiasts on hand for demonstrations and assistance. The event is happening snow or shine, so bundle up and join us for this great Minnesota winter get together.
Go on a guided snowshoe hike along the river with a National Park Service Ranger after you restore habitat at Coldwater Spring. River Action Volunteer Events (RAVEs) are a fun way to engage in environmental stewardship and reap the benefits of your service with a free recreational activity in the park. MORE INFO
Join us for a drink in the private Brewer’s Den at Finnegan’s Brew Co in Minneapolis. Discuss the current health of the Mississippi River, climate change and habitat restoration efforts, the future of the River Learning Center, and what’s going on with the National Park Service with Superintendent John Anfinson and Mississippi Park Connection’s Executive Director Katie Nyberg. Hot cocoa will be provided and beer is available for purchase. MORE INFO
