Attend the AIS Research and Management Showcase for free by volunteering a couple of hours! Various options are available:
- Three volunteers are needed for the check-in table (handing out nametags and folders; no handling of money). One or two of these people will need to stay at the check-in table through opening remarks.
- Two volunteers are needed to help set out name cards in the lunch room according to a chart that will be provided. This is so attendees can find the researcher they most want to sit with at lunch. These people will need to miss the session immediately before lunch (11:15-12:00). The breakout session schedule is available here, for reference.
- Up to four volunteers are needed to help walk people to the lab tours and keep people on time. There will be a front leader and a “sweeper” to make sure people don’t get left behind. The front leader will be a MAISRC person. Once at the lab, the group will watch one outdoor demo together and then be split into two groups for the indoor demos. Each group will have one leader who will communicate when it is time to switch groups (additional information will be provided).
- Any photographers out there? We’d love a photographer or two to take photos during opening remarks and the lab tours especially, and any other times during the event that seem photogenic.
Sessions will be held at: Continuing Education and Conference Center, 1890 Buford Ave, St Paul, MN 55108, USA
Volunteers may sign up for one or more activities depending on how many hours they’re looking for. Breakout sessions attended during the Showcase count for Advanced Training hours. Please contact Christine Lee at email@example.com to sign up or with questions.
