Check out these iNaturalist projects created by Heather Holm for Minnesota insects. This is a great way to learn identification and to contribute to a project.
The observations that people add to iNaturalist that fit the project parameters (any date, within MN borders, and within the project species) will load automatically w/o any special effort or participation in the project, but its nice to know about these projects as a resource for identifications that might fall outside of the examples found in reference books….or to just see what’s out there!
All of these will be photos of species taken in Minnesota.
