August Newsletter – Mississippi Park Connection

NationalParkHello Volunteers

There are two months left in the park’s fiscal year which means two more months to contribute volunteer hours. Volunteers who complete a minimum of five hours of service are invited to join the NPS and MPC volunteer community at the annual volunteer recognition event aboard the Anson Northrup riverboat. This year the annual recognition event will be on the evening of October 11. This month you can volunteer with a Coldwater or Mill Ruins Crew (volunteering two times is 5 hours!), a fishing program with Ranger Gordon, or a howling survey with Ranger Sam. If you have questions about your hours, please contact Karen Katz at 651-293-8458 or karen_katz@nps.gov.
