deerBelow is a list of June events at Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. With so much going on (and so many events being added after the newsletter goes out!), it’s easy to lose track of the events you are interested in attending. The summer newsletter will be sent around on July 1st, but we’ve got lots going on between now and then – come visit!

  • June 8th, 1 – 5pm: AVID (Assessing Vegetative Impacts by Deer) citizen science training
  • June 14th, 5:30 – 7:30pm: Red-headed Woodpecker Hike
  • June 16th, 10am – 2pm: Red-headed Woodpecker Day (and visit the bison gazebo!)
  • June 18th – 21st, 9am – 4pm: Junior Ecologist Summer Camp (spaces still available!)
  • June 19th, 12pm – 1pm: Urban Forest Inventory and Analysis in Minnesota webinar broadcast
  • June 22nd, 8:30pm – 10:30pm: Universe in the Park astronomy program
  • June 26th, 9am – 12pm: Growing up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children educator workshop
  • June 27th, 6:30 – 8pm: Ecology Book Club at Cedar Creek
  • June 29th, 3-4:30pm: Bumble Bee Survey (volunteers needed!)
