Volunteer with MN DNR at the 2017 MN State Fair

Do you like animals, people and corn dogs? Then join us at the Minnesota State Fair in the Wildlife Wing of the DNR building. Here you will share information and answer questions about wildlife with visitors by interpreting taxidermy mounts of animals in their native habitats.

You must be self-directed, have knowledge in Minnesota wildlife and be comfortable with crowds in a warm building. The state fair runs from August 24th through September 4th, 2017 in St. Paul. We need 2 volunteers per shifts, and they run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. You will receive a free entrance ticket into the fair.

New volunteers are required to complete a background check, safety training, and DNR volunteer agreement form will be before the state fair begins and will be provided to you electronically after signup.

Returning volunteers are required to complete the safety training and the DNR volunteer agreement form.
